One of the best pizzas anywhere, even with the slightly little thicker crust than we're used to.  And their steak subs are by far the very best albeit a little pricey, but definitely worth it none the less. One star is lost based only on these two points. But if it was possible here, I'd only remove a half star.

My wife and I have started ordering from here (September 2019) after being disappointed with a couple of our longtime go-to pizza joints in town which, for some reason, are now terrible. What a fantastic product Jimmie's puts out. I mean OMG, it really, truly, is great food.

We tend to prefer a thinner crust, but it is still relatively close to how we like it, so we're not annoyed by it at all. And, actually, while the underside of the pizza has somewhat of a thick crust in our highly subjective opinion, the beautiful thing is though, that the pizza edge has much, much less of a crust than other pizzas out there. So, what's great about that is you get more actual 'pizza' all the way to its outer edge as opposed to a bunch of extra bread you might not really want.

One of the best things we love about how they do their pizza is that it is cooked longer than most pizzas you'll find around town. Meaning, it's more of a golden brown cheese topping than the usually undercooked slightly melted cheese topping you usually see these days. And, frankly, it seems Jimmie's is the only place that does cook their pizzas a little longer, giving it a sort of a fire roasted old-fashioned kinda taste to it -- a very distinctive smell and taste -- really wonderful. Another upside to a longer cooked pizza is the crust is slightly firmer so it's not slopping all about. With that said, they've never over cooked it or even come close to burning it. It's just always perfect. Obviously, they are masters at this.

What we love about their subs is that, unlike the other typical well known sub place, Jimmie's doesn't overload their subs with a whole slew of toppings, with an obvious intent to hide the fact that there's not much of a meat offering. Nope. Jimmie's gives you plenty of meat and cheese and just the right amount of toppings. Their steak'n'ham sub is amazing.

Btw... Another reviewer mention their disappointment with the prefab bacon bits Jimmie's uses instead of cooked bacon on the spot. My view on this is that, while it's true the bacon Jimmie's puts on their pizzas is very finely chopped into small bits, here's the thing... it is still very delicious 'real' bacon and they splatter a ton of it on the pizza, making it seem to me that there's very likely many more ounces of this bacon on their pizzas than what other places use on their pizzas when it's just short little strips of bacon. Believe me, there's no mistaking the massive bacon presence and, indeed, bacon flavor on Jimmie's pizzas.

Now something I'd like to address here is what has turned up in other online reviews including here, that the call taker here is somehow rude with her customers. I will admit that was something we were a little concerned about at first after reading a few comments like that when we were looking for a new pizzeria and were shopping around on these review sites. However, what I quickly realized after speaking on the phone with their call-taker, is that she simply has a very grounded, old-school, down to earth personality -- not rude at all -- but rather very pointed and assured. She talks to you as though she's known you her whole life. Personally, I find that very honest and reassuring. No pretensions. No fakeness whatsoever. Very likely the negative reviews she's received in this regard were from overly sensitive persons who don't deal well with that sort of brash, yet truthful personality.

Anyways, if you're looking for great food at a decent value, then give them a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Eating it right now! We always get the large + lb wings + ceasar salad deal. Always delivered fast. The pizza and ceasar salad are awesome, but the wings aren't great (sorry, jimmie)! When we first had the wings, we thought maybe we just got a bad batch... but they are consistently "blah." They are pretty hard and seem like they've been refried. If the wings were better, this would definitely be a 5 star review!

I've been ordering from this place for over 20 years. It's the best pizza for miles, in my opinion. I now live just across the bridge and I drive over just to pick it up! The staff are fantastic and the pizza is to die for. I have yet to find something that is even close to the level of delicious that is Pizza Jimmie

RUDE!!!!!!!  I believe that it's one of the best tasting pizza in Aylmer BUT so not worth the abuse.  My new favorite is Mc Ewen.

The rudest pizza joint owners you'll ever deal with. Pizza is lousy too, watery sauce, and the guy uses pre-packaged bacon bits for a Canadian versus real bacon fried on the spot.
